C-7

What is a C-7? I’m glad you wondered…

The C-7 is a California based contracting license for installing low voltage systems- that could be a phone line, a run of UTP (ethernet), or a CCTV system (which basically runs on UTP- its all about that Unshielded Twisted Pair, aka ethernet, aka CAT5 or CAT5e or CAT6). Anyway, a C-7 means the grand ‘ol state of Californication has given me permission to do the stuff I have been doing nearly all of my life. So, thanks? I mean, I’d hate to see someone accidentally burn a building down – some regulation is required. I get it.
